Pet Acceptance Policy and Agreement

At North Star Nature Suites™, we understand that some of life’s most meaningful moments are best shared with a cherished companion. To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of our mountain retreat while ensuring a comfortable experience for all guests, there are guidelines we would like you to understand and agree to adhere to before deciding to bring your dog. This agreement is designed to ensure that all guests bringing a pet (Owner) understand our expectations at North Star Nature Suites™ (Company) while visiting with a dog.

Companion Dog Guidelines

• A maximum of one dog up to 50 pounds is permitted per suite with prior approval.
• Dogs must be house-trained, well-socialized, and current on vaccinations.
• North Star Nature Suites™ was thoughtfully designed as a quiet retreat for rest, relaxation, and connection. For the comfort and safety of all guests, we reserve the right to decline or remove any dog whose behavior is disruptive, aggressive, or otherwise inconsistent with the peaceful nature of the property.

Requirements

• Dogs are not permitted on furniture, bedding, or linens at any time.
• Dogs may not be left unattended in a suite unless secured in an Owner-supplied crate.
• Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times when outside of the Nature Suite™.
• Owner must agree to promptly secure dog waste in a plastic bag and dispose of it in the receptacle next to the well house.
• Dogs may not be left unattended outdoors, whether leashed, crated, or otherwise restrained.
• Dirty paws must be thoroughly cleaned before entering the suite (using your own towels for this purpose).
• Bathing or washing dogs inside the suite is prohibited. A hose is conveniently located on the exterior of the suite for rinsing purposes.
• North Star Nature Suites™ towels, linens, blankets, and other guest amenities may not be used for pets.
• Owners must check in at the Lodge upon arrival.
• No other pets are permitted.
• Company has the right to request information about the dog such as veterinary records detailing vaccination reports.

Behavior

• Excessive barking or disruptive behavior is not permitted.
• Should your dog become distressed or disruptive while unattended, we may contact you and request your immediate return to the property.

Fees

• A Dog Fee applies and must be paid when booking your stay to help offset the additional cleaning and preparation required to maintain the exceptional standards of our Nature Suites™.

Responsibility for Damages

• Owner assumes full responsibility for any injury, damage, excessive cleaning, or loss resulting from their dog.
• Any costs associated with repairs, replacement of damaged items, or extraordinary cleaning will be charged to the Owner. The Owner will be responsible for full replacement and/or repair and authorized Company to charge the Owner’s credit card. The Company will have final judgement on all issues of damage and soil.

Liability

• North Star Nature Suites™, its owners, employees, and affiliates assume no responsibility for the care, actions, health, or safety of any dog while on the property.

Owner agrees to assume responsibility for their dog’s behavior and control of their pet at all times while on the Company’s property. Company is not liable for any injury to the pet. Owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Company from any injuries caused by the pet to Company’s guests, staff or property. Owner agrees to pay any legal fees or other costs incurred by Company in defense of such injuries or damages. Owner agrees to the terms described herein and voluntarily signs the agreement.
